Nobel Prize Medals up for Auction

Alan Loydd Hodgkins shared the Nobel prize in physiology or medicine in 1963 for his work on how electrical impulses pass along nerve cells. In October of 2015 the medal was put up for auctioned and was sold for almost $800,000. The record for a Nobel medal auction was in 2014 when James Watson's medal sold for $4.76 million.
